That traditional foundation earned his work an international reputation as the craft found a new global audience through social media. Today, John is recognized as a premier educator in the trade, and through his online “Letter Art Academy” he has trained hundreds of students worldwide in the specialized skills of traditional signwriting.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2010, John has spent over a decade partnering with national graphics providers and agencies to provide specialized installation solutions for high-end projects throughout Southern California. In 2025, King Sign and Graphic expanded into a full-service sign shop in Sherman Oaks, bringing decades of experience to an accessible local destination for professional signage design and production.
